Mike Dawson saved the world from the ‘Ancients’ in Dark Seed, but the experience causes him to have a mental breakdown. In attempt to regain his sanity he returns to his childhood home town, and moves in with his mother. A year goes by, and Mike is still suffering from serious mental problems and memory lapses. To make matters worse, his high school girlfriend, Rita, is found murdered after their high school reunion and everyone seems to believe that Mike is the murderer. It would seem that the ‘Ancients’ have returned, and in order for Mike to clear his name he must venture through different realities, solve puzzles and stop the Ancients from taking over the world.
If nothing else, Devastation is ambitious. Digitalo Studios’ futuristic first-person shooter features more than 35 weapons, arcade-style and tactical modes of play, computer-controlled teammates, a detailed physics model, and single-player missions that incorporate “botmatch”-style base attack and defense objectives (that is, both you and your opponents are aided by computer-controlled “bot” characters). Drakan first comes across as a third-person action game like any other in the quickly burgeoning genre, but you’ll know this game is onto something early on, when lanky redheaded heroine Rynn releases the kindly old dragon Arokh and takes to the skies on his back. Add great graphics, mean monsters, deadly traps, and huge areas to explore both from the sky and on foot, and you’ll see that Drakan is clearly one of the better games in its class, even if it doesn’t seem especially original. After all, Rynn’s just a medieval Lara Croft riding on your average dragon. You won’t remember Drakan for its characters, but you’ll have fun playing it.
Dark Reign 2 is the sequel to Activision’s critically acclaimed (but virtually ignored) real-time strategy debut from a few years ago. Where DR1 innovated by offering more varied units and an excellent futuristic storyline, DR2 proves that even spruced up 3D graphics and a 3/4 viewing angle won’t be enough to save the aging RTS genre.
While just about every RTS developer except Westwood has jumped on the 3D bandwagon, Dark Reign 2 is the first game to deliver true 3D graphics. (Note: Don’t be fooled by the recently released Ground Control, which is an action combat game). Despite the fact that the graphics are richly detailed and fluid, the game still suffers from pathfinding and AI problems, repetitive mine/build/attack gameplay, an underdeveloped storyline, and several other typical RTS bugaboos.
Defcon is a game allowing the player to engage in thermonuclear war with other countries. Although lacking 3d graphics, the game is well suited to its players. It’s so good that the average game is about 8 hours (not if you fast-forward). This is a highly recommended game to others.

BioShock is a first-person shooter video game, developed by 2K Boston/2K Australia—previously known as Irrational Games—designed by Ken Levine. The story behind Bugs Bunny & Taz Time Busters is a pretty simple one and is one that really fits well with the entire Looney Tunes universe. Daffy Duck accidentally breaks Granny’s time regulator and is thrown back into time with the core of the machine, which is a precious gem. And, of course, it’s up to Bugs Bunny to retrieve this gem and restore the time order. But, instead of just going on the adventure all by his lonesome again, in this quest he has Taz, the Tasmanian Devil at his side.
It is this, the addition of Taz, that really brings an extra sort of appeal to the game. Unlike most other multi-character platformers where you’re either stuck with specific characters for different levels or the skills of the different characters aren’t really different enough, Bugs Bunny and Taz both have very unique and special skills that make them vital in the adventure and either one of them can be used at all times during the game. What’s more, there are even some special cases where the player will be required to use both characters at the same time, such as having Bugs jump on Taz’s head to get to some high up place, in order to get to certain items and solve some puzzles.
There are more than 30 different levels in the game that include four different time periods to explore — The Aztec Era, The Viking Era, The Arabian Nights and Transylvania. Each of the levels basically has the same goal, but they do have a nice variety in the way that they have been designed. What really helps in this case is that the Looney Tunes licensed has been used to the fullest and players will encounter many classic adversaries like Yosemite Sam, Elmer Fudd, Babba Chop and Count Bloodcount during their quest.
As far as the title’s playability is concerned, the control of the characters are pretty tight and each of them have plenty of different abilities and special moves that need to be learned. The only problem that some players might have is that there might be too many moves, in fact, and it can be difficult at times to remember exactly how to do every one of them. But, that’s only a minor gripe and most players will have no problem remembering all of the moves once they get into the deeper levels of the game.

The game stars popular cartoon character Bugs Bunny who find and activates a time machine after taking a wrong turn at Alberqueque. He ends up in Nowhere home of a sorcerer named Merlin (”Moyle” to Bugs). Merlin explains to Bugs that he is lost in time and that he must go through eras to collect clocks and golden carrots to return to the present. Players must help Bugs to go through 5 different eras in time to get back home. A sequel Bugs Bunny and Taz Time Busters was made for the same consoles.
The events of Blade Runner, the game, take place in November 2019, precisely the time of Blade Runner, the film. The storyline itself is strikingly similar: You assume the role of Ray McCoy, a Blade Runner who hunts down a scourge of replicants hiding out in Los Angeles. The leader of this gang is a philosophical, brooding sort named Clovis who wants to find a way to extend his factory-provided four-year life span and sulks around, pointlessly quoting William Blake and steadfastly protecting his “family,” a motley assortment of other replicants. One of Blade Runner’s “constantly changing plot” elements is that, with repeated playings, different characters will be replicants. And McCoy may or may not be a replicant himself (a plot element that was subtly hinted at in Scott’s film), and every character seems to say “What about you, McCoy?” at some point or another.
